The Belleville Police Department requested the assistance of the Major Case Squad in investigating the death of Paul Kirby (age 38). At 1:21am, police officers responded to a residence in the 400 block of South 29th Street in response to a 911 call. There they located Paul Kirby inside a residence. He had been shot and was pronounced dead on scene.
As a result of this investigation, Vincent Allen (age 38) was charged with First Degree Murder.
