Victim: Michael Wesley Holland

Suspect: Larry James Lowery, Julionne M. Parker, and 16-year old juvenile male

The Overland Police Department requested the assistance of the Major Case Squad in investigating the death of Michael Holland. At approximately 3:00pm, officers responded to the 1800 block of Spencer Avenue for a report of a shooting. There officers located Michael Holland (age 32) who had been shot. Michael was pronounced dead on the scene.

As a result of this investigation, a 16 year-old juvenile male was arrested on charges of Murder 2nd Degree, Assault 1st Degree, and Armed Criminal Action. It was determined the incident was a result of a feud between the suspect and an acquaintance of the victim.

After the Major Case Squad disbanded, the Overland Police Department continued their investigation into this case.  In March 2022, the following additional charges were issued:

• Larry Lowery (age 26 at the time of arrest) - Murder 1st Degree, Assault 1st Degree-Serious Physical Injury, 2 counts Armed Criminal Action, and Unlawful Use of Weapon
• Julionne Parker (age 22 at the time of arrest) - Murder 2nd Degree, Assault 1st Degree-Serious Physical Injury, 2 counts Armed Criminal Action, and Unlawful Use of Weapon

They were both arrested on no-bond warrants.
