MAJOR CASE SQUAD INVESTIGATING

DOUBLE SHOOTING IN BERKELEY

At approximately 2:30 p.m. on 03/11/2024, the Berkeley Police Department responded to the 8300 block of Airport Road for a report of a shooting on a Metro Bus. Witnesses reported a man fired into the bus hitting two people; then the shooter entered the bus and fired more shots and fled the area in a car. Both victims were transported to a local hospital. Despite life-saving efforts, both victims died. The victims are identified as:

Jorge Andres Cantor Pinzon
37-year-old man from Maryland Heights

Jaron Jackson-Craig
34-year-old man from Olivette

No one else on the bus was injured.

Investigation revealed the suspect was in a stolen car taken from the City of Bellefontaine Neighbors in a carjacking earlier in the day. Metro St. Louis provided Major Case Squad Investigators with a security video from the bus. The investigators canvassed the area where the car had been stolen from; and, based on images from the video, noticed a man matching the shooter’s description.

The man was a convicted felon, was in possession of a handgun, and had several warrants. He was taken into custody pending further investigation.

Anthony Frazier, 36-years-old of St. Louis County

Detectives assigned to the Major Case Squad applied for warrants with the St. Louis County Prosecuting Attorney’s Office. Frazier was charged with:

  • Two counts of Murder 1st Degree
  • Four counts Armed Criminal Action
  • Robbery 1st
  • Felon in Possession of a Handgun
