On Tuesday, December 7, 2021 at approximately 23:48 hours, Madison Police Department received a 9-1-1 call of a shooting and a male subject down in the 1700 block of Wayne Lanter Ave., Madison, Illinois. The male victim was pronounced deceased at the scene.
The decedent is identified as:
Andre Hutson, 38 years of age, out of St. Louis, Missouri.
The Major Case Squad of Greater St. Louis has been activated to investigate this matter. At this time, approximately 18 investigators from the Major Case Squad are working this investigation. Investigators are making significant progress. They are actively working leads in order to identify the person(s) responsible for this heinous crime and bring them to justice.
