Update #1: Major Case Squad Activated for Dellwood Homicide
On Saturday May 29, 2021, the Greater St. Louis Major Case Squad was activated to assist North County Cooperative in a homicide investigation wherein one male subject was killed, and three other subjects were injured.
At approximately 12:15 AM on May 29, 2021 (corrected time from previous press release), officers received a call for a disturbance outside of II Bar, 10466 West Florissant Avenue, which lead to four subjects being shot. One male victim was killed as a result, another male subject had critical gunshot injuries but is expected to survive, and two female subjects have non-life-threatening gunshot wounds. All the surviving victims received medical treatment at an area hospital. The deceased victim has been identified as:
Smith, Kyree Shakur
B/M 23 years old
The investigation revealed a female patron was in a verbal argument with another group of patrons inside II Bar which led out to the parking lot of the establishment. The female patron retrieved a handgun and fired into the crowd of people she believed included the patrons with whom she got into the earlier verbal argument. This led to an exchange of gunfire which left multiple victims struck by the gunfire.
The female patron/suspect has been identified as:
Lee, Delece
B/F 24 years old
Resident of Ferguson
Delece Lee has been charged with Murder 2nd and Armed Criminal Action through the St. Louis County Prosecuting Attorney’s Office. She is in custody at St. Louis County Jail where she is being held on a $250,000 cash only bond. It is important to note, it is not known at this time if the bullet from her firearm struck any of the victims. The murder 2nd charge is due to Kyree Smith being killed as a result of Delece Lee’s perpetration of a felony assault.
The Major Case Squad will still be investigating the incident and working on developing additional leads in this case.
The Major Case Squad asks that anyone with information that would assist in the solving of this crime call Crime Stoppers at 1-866-371-TIPS (8477).
